Vox Max offers a free 24-hour trial so you can see how Romanian TV channels look on your own TV, over your own internet connection, before you pick a plan. In short: create an account on vox-max.com, install the app on an Android TV or Google TV device, sign in with the details we email you, and you have 24 hours to try it out. If it works for you, choose a plan from our pricing section afterwards.
Here's how to get started, what's worth testing in those 24 hours, and how renewal works once you subscribe.
Who the trial is for
The trial is most useful if you:
- live abroad and want Romanian TV over the internet, without a satellite dish;
- have an Android TV or Google TV device (or are thinking of buying one) and want to see how it performs;
- aren't sure your home broadband is stable enough for streaming TV;
- want to check the TV archive and the programmes you usually watch.

Step by step: from sign-up to watching
- Create your account on vox-max.com with an email address (or phone number) you check.
- Get your device ready: an Android TV / Google TV set, or a box plugged into your TV over HDMI, ideally connected to the internet by Ethernet cable.
- Install the app from Google Play, or with Downloader using the installation code from your email. Our Android TV installation guide has every step.
- Sign in with the username and password sent to your email or phone (they're also in your account on the website).
- Start watching, and use the 24 hours to run the checks below.
Getting the most out of 24 hours
A good trial tells you exactly what you'll get once you subscribe. Work through this list:
- Test on the TV you'll actually use every day. Picture quality depends on the device and the connection.
- Watch in the evening, when home networks and broadband providers are usually busiest.
- Try the archive: rewatch something that aired earlier. The archive goes back up to 7 days, though availability can vary by programme and channel.
- Compare Wi-Fi and cable: if the picture pauses on Wi-Fi, try an Ethernet cable.
- Flick between channels to see how quickly they load.
- Test more than one device if your household will watch in different rooms.
- Message support with a question. It's a good way to see how easy it is to get help in Romanian.
What happens after 24 hours
The free trial lasts 24 hours. To keep watching, choose a plan in the pricing section of the site, where you'll find the current options and prices.
If the trial didn't win you over, you're under no obligation to choose a plan. If you're unsure about your account status afterwards, just ask support.
Auto-renewal and how to turn it off
Once you buy a plan, it helps to know how renewal works:

Trouble activating?
- No email with your login details: check spam and promotions folders, then your account on the website.
- App not in Google Play: use the Downloader method with the installation code from your email.
- Login details rejected: type them exactly as shown; they're case-sensitive.
- Picture keeps pausing: connect the device by cable and restart both the router and the device.
